About the editor
Nicolai Bjerknes Slinning is the originator and editor of The Body Comes to Work. He works on occupational health, universal design and systems design at STÖ Group and Sydera.
Slinning took part as a Norwegian expert in ISO/TC 283/WG 10, the working group that developed ISO 45010:2026. He also takes part as a Norwegian expert in ISO/TC 283/WG 6, which is working on the revision of ISO 45001, and is a member of the Norwegian standards committee SN/K 551 on occupational health and safety management systems.
One question runs through his work:
What should be in place before anyone has to ask?
In this handbook, that question is turned into practical arrangements, clear responsibility, privacy limits and tools for workplaces in the EU and EEA.

This English edition is written for workplaces in the EU and EEA. The sections on privacy and data protection follow the GDPR as it applies there. National employment law and national data protection rules add to this and differ between countries. The guide is Sydera’s own guidance with reference to ISO 45010:2026. It is neither published nor approved by ISO or any national standards body. It has not been adapted for the United Kingdom. An explicit UK edition may be published shortly.
