Before you choose
a basket, dispenser or cabinet.

Put the same questions to every supplier. A simple solution may be exactly right. More functions must give a benefit you actually need.

• Availability: Can all relevant employees get products discreetly, on every shift and at every location?
• Products: Do the range, the packaging and the instructions fit?
• Operation: Are height, opening and use possible for people with different abilities?
• Running it: Who refills, who receives alerts and who takes over during absence?
• Fallback: What happens when stock runs out, something fails, or power or network goes down?
• Privacy: What is stored in the machine, the access system, supplier logs and reports?
• Cost: What do products, service, subscription and operation cost over time?
• Freedom of choice: Can you change products and supplier without starting over?

Try a small arrangement first where that makes sense. Ask employees to assess the use without recording who uses which products.
