Some common misunderstandings
“Natural means you have to put up with it.” Natural processes can cause symptoms that need support or health care.
“Menopause is the same for everyone.” Experiences and needs vary. Do not use one colleague as the answer key.
“Inclusion requires everyone to talk openly.” Knowledge can be shared with everyone. Private health should not be a compulsory topic of conversation.
These are our language suggestions. It is fine to say woman and women’s health when that is precise. Access to support must at the same time include everyone who has the need.
